Agnisar Pranayama
Navel region is the centre of fire element, which is very essential for assimilation of consumed food. After the food is digested, the heat energy of this directs nutritive juices to all parts of the body.
In case of a malfunction in creation of heat energy, the digestive system cannot function properly resulting in various disorders like indigestion, acidity, gastric problems etc. It is therefore, very necessary to activate the energy centre regularly. Besides improving digestive system, Agnisar Pranayama fights obesity and improves blood circulation.
Sit in lotus pose, placing hands on knees, shoulders stooped slightly forward and made rigid by gripping the knees, with body tilted forward a little bit. Exhale completely and pump the stomach till you can do comfortably. Relax the stomach and gently inhale. Repeat the exercise two or three time.
Special care must be taken to hold the breath outside up to one's capacity to do so.
